never to forget
I want to extend My very sincere thanks to the slave-who-saved-the-day with the lovely new MacBook Pro. That is that kind of kindness and generosity that is never forgotten. Without a computer this Mistress was a bit disabled. Now My life is mended. The engraved iPod was a sweet touch!
Only one last issue to put Me 100% back on track (for those who are interested): My Adobe CS3 Design Premium software. With that is purchased and installed I can resume taking over the universe.

design woes and fascist sofas
I am all but settled into the new play space, and as unfinished as it may be, I am taking sessions, as are all the ArtDommes.
I have been both energized and worn thin by the activities of interior design, and I learned that all of My troubles are 100% due to a fascist sofa. Yes, when I saw the Le Corbusier repro on-line, I was smitten. It was delightfully modernist, with a hint of Deco, and had nice chrome bars surrounding it that might come in handy should I wish to keep someone sitting there without hope of rising up. But the more I tried to fit the rest of the room around it, the more distraught I became. So distraught that I was parylized by indecision. It is a severe piece and demands austerity. But I want to add a touch of warmth to the space in which I will be spending all My time. And so the Libra scales were knocked out of whack. There is no way to balance the fascistic design with the warm opulence I enjoy.
And so it's time for revolution. For those who don't know design, Le Corbusier, in his later years, became a supporter of Mussolini - a real right-winger. He spoke of furniture as servants that must not demand attention, but simply function. Dutiful objects. While this is an appealing idea, and an appealing design at first, My own hedonistic orientalist, and playfully surreal tastes just cannot mesh.
For me the sofa became a creative prison. And having decided to return it, I feel my creative block lifting.
Anyway...
My birthday approaches in less than a month. As always, gift certificates to my favorite places are more than welcome: C Salon (MOST ESPECIALLY THIS - I need $300 to make My hair just the way I like it), Spa Space, and as always, Nordstrom.
I am also in need of the latest Adobe Creative Suite Design Premium collection in terms of software. An iPhone 3G would also be lovely.
And I do have the Holy Mountain wish list - help make my new play space all it can be.
Other things that would make my day: skilled rigger to install a hoist in My playroom (hereafter referred to as the Moon Room), a maid, and a full time secretary.
For those who would like to meet Me this week, I may have Friday free.

holding pattern
Mistress is sad to say that My dearest Powerbook, My constant companion for more than 4 years, is dead.
I was considering an upgrade next year anyway, so it's not such a huge tragedy. Computers, like My favorite animals (rats), have very limited lifespans.
I am writing from a borrowed PC, which is fine for a few days, but I'm already feeling Mac withdraw symptoms. Yes, I'm one of THOSE people.
Nothing would delight me more than a new MacBook Pro with the following:
* 15.4-inch glossy widescreen LED-backlit display
* 1440 x 900 resolution
* 2.6GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor (Penryn)
* 4GB (2x2GB) of 667MHz DDR2 memory
* 200GB 7200-rpm SATA hard drive (the 7200 rpm is ESSENTIAL!)
* 8x slot-loading SuperDrive
* NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT with 512MB GDDR3 memory
Incidentally, My birthday IS approaching in just over a month. An early slave-who-saves-the-day birthday present might be in order. All of My computers since 1998 (3 so far - one of which is still running, albeit slowly, and two that were sold when I upgraded) have been generous gifts, so I'd love to continue in that tradition.
Also, as October approaches I am PLANNING to launch the Holy Mountain web site, and introduce you to My brand new play space, now available for sessions (including overnights as captive!) if just a bit sparse still. But all of my design software was on My now dead workhorse. So as soon as I get a new computer I'll get that out onto the web, along with the new sites for My friends, Mistress Sukia, Mistress Lucinda, Mistress Sophia, Miss L, and major updates for Miss Mara and Mistress Isobel. So much to do and such a horrible time for technical difficulties.
But My spirits are high, as My playroom is stocked with goodies (even if I still lack cabinets in which to store things).
Just a note about October - it's grand opening and birthday month! Lots and lots of fun for Me! Oh and there are film productions on the horizon! So watch for updates. I may need talented subs.
I am surprised that I am in such a pleasant mood given that I cannot get to My e-mail and My important work is on hold. But I will take the weekend to relax and indulge in doing very little in preparation for all that lies ahead.

P.S. Many thanks to My sweet devoted vahana footpuppy for all the incredibly grueling hard work he put into preparing the play space last week! I am very impressed at how well he did in learning a whole lifetime of new things at the workshop as well, as overwhelming as it may have been. I am so proud! Such devotion does not go unrewarded.
P.P.S. Initiation is nigh, slave - you know who you are! You stood up to the Mistress Cleo Dubois test (you should feel honored to have been beaten up by the best), and I know you are ready.
P.P.P.S. Many thanks to all the teachers and volunteers who attended the Intensive! I had so much fun with all of you and it was great to get to know you. E-mails forthcoming when I am able.

the good, the bad, the lovely
Hello sweet subbies and patient pervs!
Just an update on My state of affairs. I am currently at a borrowed computer. My MAc Powerbook bit the dust after five years of loyal service. I was planning to buy another one soon, but it is inconvenient none-the-less.
Especially since I am in the middle of Cleo Dubois' Academy of SM Arts - Domme Intensive. Yes, Mistress is expanding Her Repertoire along with a group of My closest friends and coconspirators.
The Holy Mountain space is functional if a bit sparse at the moment. We have just enough toys and tools to make things interesting! And I will be taking sessions again next week - given that My computer situation is resolved.
That's it for now - a more detialed update when I have the means.
OH, and I cannot check My e-mail at the moment, so patience is required if you're trying to reach Me via My favorite form of communication.
